A Curious Place To Be
The Artground – A Curious Place To Be is managed and nurtured by The Ground Co Limited, a registered arts charity.
We aim to provide positive arts experiences across a variety of art forms for children from birth to 9 years old in an accessible space
that welcomes children from every community.
Our vision to let art do, what art does defines what we do.
We hope that The Artground will be a space where families can feel at ease to come to, to spend some time, to discover, to learn and to be curious.
The Artground encourages everyone who visits our centre to be creative by offering opportunities for the child and the artist to remain inquisitive for life.

We draw inspiration from the poem, The Hundred Languages of Children. Hence, our primary arts programmes and ancillary workshops go beyond the arts realm, facilitate learning through active exploration and empower children to express themselves in a hundred different ways.
As of 1 November 2021, The Artground has obtained our Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status. This allows donations of $50 and above made to our charity to be eligible for 250% tax deductions. Donations are matched dollar for dollar by the MCCY Cultural Matching Fund.
We would greatly appreciate your kind support. To find out how, please click here.

![]() Visual Arts Space
The Artground's Arts Space, is the body of the arts centre. It is a space where children and their families feel comfortable to visit and explore, while exposing themselves to quality arts experiences. It aims to bridge the gap between arts and play, while the child develops physical, social and communicative skills through their interactions with the space and with one another. This is also a communal ground which supports and encourages the exchange of shared experiences of young families. We are also invested in working with artists and strive to be an essential part of their artistic development during this creative process.

The WhiteBox is the heart and soul of The Artground. We created this space for children to experience various types of art forms with their families. This is where our arts programmes take place, and the magic happens. Over three years, we have programmed 800 art programmes in this space and exposed over hundreds of families with young children. Our WhiteBox is also available for birthday parties and corporate rentals .

The Good Garden
The Good Garden is a children's urban food garden initiative by Cultivate Central for The Artground, with a mural painted by Miyuki Soh. A whimsical food garden that'll cultivate food, artistic expressions, collaboration, communities, diversity and earth care together. A place to nurture a sense of what it means to help things grow and for children to connect with nature. The Good Garden is guided by Permaculture Design principles. Permaculture is the art and science of mirroring natural environments and working with nature to design and create sustainable habitats, cultures and natural food sources.
