Inspired by the picture book Ally at the Park (Ally di Taman), Dance with Ally! is an interactive English-Malay performance that introduces young children to the Malay language through movement and music.
Follow Ally, a curious cat, as she explores a vibrant park, meeting new friends and discovering playful Malay words along the way. Reimagined as a dancing character, Ally brings vocabulary to life through lively choreography and song, helping little ones connect sound, meaning, and movement.
As this is a work-in-development performance, children and adults are required to provide feedback at the end of the session in an effort to help artist further develop the work. Photos and videos will be taken during the event for archival and marketing purposes. We kindly ask all participants to sign the provided photo consent form on the day.
Norlin Samat (Poppet) is an educator and author of the Ally’s Adventures series. Dance artists Faye Lim and Bernice Lee (Rolypoly Family) create playful, movement-based experiences for children. Together, they bring their passion for language, creativity, and joyful learning to life through interactive performances that inspire curiosity, connection, and imagination in young audiences.
