Step into the Chinese New Year with a joyful, hands-on workshop where art, culture, music, and movement come together in a playful and meaningful way.
Designed for children and families, this festive experience invites little ones to explore Chinese New Year traditions through creative making, sensory exploration, and joyful movement.
🎨 Chinese New Year Rubbing Art, 新年拓印: 手工制作马年福字
Handmade “Fu (福)” Blessing for the Year of the Horse
Children will create their own lucky “Fu” character artwork using a traditional rubbing (拓印) technique, revealing patterns through touch and texture.
A special keepsake symbolising happiness, good fortune, and blessings for the Year of the Horse.
🧧 DIY Chinese Scented Sachet (香囊)
Create a personalised herbal sachet pouch using gentle, natural ingredients inspired by traditional Chinese herbs.
A herbal sachet is a traditional scented pouch often worn or carried to represent good health, protection, and good luck—a meaningful New Year tradition to bring home.
🎶 Music & Movement
Children will move, dance, and play along to festive Chinese New Year music, encouraging joyful expression, body awareness, and confidence through movement.

A certified early childhood educator, certified in both practical & theory in music from ABRSM London, and also a music and early childhood instructor with more than 15 years of experience in the field. Through Treble Bass, she hopes to provide an avenue for children from all walks of life to enjoy and deepen their passion for music and rhythm.

Ticket Price: $27 per child & $8 per adult (Additional adult $8 to pay onsite)

Terms and Conditions (Please read carefully before you purchase your tickets)
- This ticket gives you access to the 45-min PROGRAMME and 30-min EXPLORE: "Lost Islands".
- Programme + Explore tickets are chargeable with each person (adult or child) counted as one pax. A baby in arm is also counted as 1 pax. Please note that tickets are sold PER PAX.
- Programme + Explore tickets are strictly non-refundable. If you are unable to make the Programme for any reason (including covid-related matters), you may transfer your ticket/s to another family (child/children have to be within the age stipulation). No credit notes can be issued and change of dates/ times are strictly not permitted. Please choose your date and time carefully.
- Each child must be accompanied by at least one adult into the programme.
- This programme is age-specific and The Artground reserves the right to refuse entry to children who are not within the stipulated age group, even if you have purchased a ticket. No refunds will be issued.
- Audiences have to exit The Artground once the programme is over to enable staff to clean and santise the space.
- Non-slip grip socks are mandatory for everyone (except pre-walking babies). Socks will be available for sale $3/pair for those who do not have them.
- Photography and Videography may be taken by event organisers for marketing and archival purposes.
